WILLIE 'BIG EYES' SMITH
Willie has always been on of my favourite bluesmen that I've
ever met. I first saw him with Muddy Waters in the late 60's.
When Andrew Kempa started his Juke Joint Records label in 1999
he asked me for pictures I had shot of Willie for his first
release. I had been out shootin' photos durin' his visit to
Toronto for the recording. Andrew used one of my photos for
the front cover, my first ever cover shot, for the CD. As well
he used another image for the back cover. Also he used the
image for a poster and a publicity photo. Inside the liner
notes Andrew included five photos I took of the musicians that
were on the album session.
