ACOUSTIC BLUES TRADITION RETURNS
I've always been a fan of old style acoustic Blues, so from
February to September 1995 I 'returned' this old style
to Rowers Pub in Toronto. Artists got a chance to play both a
Friday and Saturday evenin' and on Thursday nites there was an
open acoustic jam. Canadian musicians like Andy Earle, John
Dickie, Dennis Gomo, Peter Narvaez, Eddie Baltimore &
Mitch Wallace, Ted Cooper, Thom Roberts, Doug Norquay, Bo
Basiuk, Mr. Bennett, Mike Carson, Rick Fines, Brian Blain,
Jason Fowler, Grant Lyle, and John Tesky, to name a few,
got to do their thing. But there were Blues artist like Andy
Cohen from the States and Steve Payne & Chris Scott from
England that had dates as well. These were great magical and
musical times!
