Over
twenty years ago I started to ‘doodle’ with some black
ink line and water colour drawings of a few of the Blues
artists I’ve seen. Why I started to do this I really
don’t know, but one thing I do know is that it make me
have some fun back then to past the time. Not long ago, I
found an old folder in my garage that had them in it and
realized how much enjoyment I got from putting pen to paper.
Robert Crumb’s artwork,
especially about the Blues, have always been a favourite to
many and to me personally. He is just awesome! For a long time now, I’ve also loved
the paintings done by Toronto artist Dania
Madera. Her musical work has been a huge inspiration to me
throughout the years.
I feel very honoured that Dania has used a few of my
photographs as a basis for some of her incredible
paintings. Most of my ‘doodles’ are based on
the outtakes of some of my snapshots. I’ve done a couple more recently
and with the early ones, here they are! Eddy
