MIDNITE BLUES PARTY - volume one - Electro-Fi Records - For volume one of “Midnite Blues Party” I approached Andrew Galloway a few years ago with the idea of adding a new dimension of adding something different for his label, which had mainly focused on contemporary artists with the thought of  a historical concept to his ever-growing record label. I thought that releasing a CD of rare and obscure vintage tracks from my personal collection of 45’s and 78’s that were virtually unknown to the Blues world would be a great idea for Electro-Fi to consider. After listening to several hours of ultra-rare material from 45’s that I had put on ten cassettes from my collection we decided on a number of tracks, we finally decided on the 27 tracks that would appear on the first “Midnite Blues Party” . -Eddy B    Real Blues Award and review

As the title says, this is a Blues party, a midnight-to-dawn shebang with plenty of liquor, sandwiches, chicken, beer, and cigarette smoke clouding the room. A wild CD ride that will light up backyard barbecues given by the geritol set and Blues lovers of all ages. The best performances are too numerous to list. These tracks will make even the musically dead rock their shoulders like robots. You may need to take a break after listening to about five of these ruthless juke joints in a row, as there is no letup from track one to track 27; even the slow-rollers are sobering and could double as wake-up calls. As essential as water for jump Blues lovers'.  - Andrew Hamilton - All Music Guide - 2002
