BLUES GANG, WELCOME TO
EDDY B's BLUEHEART
ARCHIVE
Thankx for
visiting my 'Blueheart Archive' website of the Blues.
I was
born in Corner Brook, Newfoundland and moved to
Brantford, Ontario when I was two years old. After
my father
passed away my mother and I moved to Toronto and I’ve been here ever
since. I began getting interested in the Blues in 1964
in my high school years and started to collect Blues records
then as well. I started to take photographs in 1966. I was very
fortunate that during my early years I got the
incredible opportunity to work at one of the best record
stores in Toronto,
Record Villa, on Avenue Road.
The back part of the store had over one hundred thousand
45’s and I searched the bins for many records that began the
start of my
Blues record collection which
now has become an archive of Blues recordings covering the pre
and post war period in the Blues.
I should also mention that my
life style, although revolves around the Blues, there are many
things related to the 40’ and 50’s that I believe link up to
my love of Blues history. I collect almost anything that has
to do with Hot Rod and Kustom Kars from this period like
magazines, die casts, photos, and posters
from juvenile delinquency and Rock ‘n’ Roll movies. |

One of the things I really like
collectin' are those vintage pin-up pictures, ties, calendars
and playing cards. I’m also a collector of vintage clothing
from the late 40's and 50's period. I love these vintage
styles because they give me a pride of a past heritage.
My
collection of
recordings led to
the CD release of two
volumes called
“Midnite
Blues Party”. Also check out my other links on
this website, my
CD and LIVE reviews, and
especially my
Blues
Photo Archive
which exhibits hundreds of the photographs that I’ve taken since
1968.
Why call my website Blueheart Archive? During my many years of
hosting a Blues radio show called "Eddy's Place" I became
known as "the man with a blue heart". I’m very proud as
an individual of my personal history in the Blues world. Eddy B’s
“Blueheart Archive” is here for you to understand my involvement
in the Blues.
